Application: All substrates must be free from dust, grease, dirt and all other contaminants before proceeding. Contaminants may be removed by washing the substrate with MIROSOL 1231 Wax & Grease Remover. Apply a light even coat of MIROLOK 3512 per the Application Methods section. Where To Use: Low pressure melamine (LPM), plastic substrates such as polypropylene, polyethylene and vinyl, acrylic substrates including PMMA and Perspex and DAP board. Note: there are a wide range of plastic and acrylic substrates with different chemical compositions available in the market place, it is therefore essential that the user tests the adhesion of MIROLOK 3512 as part of the full coating system on a test sample before commencing commercial production.

  • Low formaldehyde, provides a safer working environment for persons applying the coatings, and compared to conventional acid catalysed coatings, superior in-service air quality around the coated article
Specifications: Colour : Clear Finish : Matt (10%), Satin (30%), Semi Gloss (60%) & Full Gloss Build : Excellent Sandability : Excellent Vertical Hold Up : Excellent Solvent Resistance : Good Water Resistance : Excellent Levelling & Flow : Excellent Sink Back : Minimal Coverage : 6-7m2 per litre at 150 micron wet film build. Mix A & B and then add thinner. Allow mixed product to stand for 15 minutes prior to thinning, this will ensure that maximum film hardness and clarity is obtained. Failure to allow time for reaction to take place may result in a hazy film. Pot Life : 1-2 days at 25°C Pot life varies significantly with ambient temperature, humdity and the quantity mixed. Pot life is longer at lower temperatures and shorter at higher temperatures. Thinning : Thin up to 30% with MIROSOL 1220, 1222 (Fast), 1294 (Medium), 1242 (Slow). In hot or draughty conditions up to 10% MIROSOL 1218 Ultra Slow Thinner may be added. Do not exceed 10% addition as it will retard the drying and could lead to problems with sanding, printing and blocking. Use faster thinners to achieve the required viscosity and then use (only if required) a small amount of MIROSOL 1218 to improve flow and levelling. In damp, cool or high humidity conditions, up to 10% MIROSOL 1297 Retarder may be added to help prevent blushing (a milkiness or haze in the film). Heating the application environment e.g. warming with infra-red lamps and avoid spraying early in the morning and late evening when temperatures are at their coldest, will also help to reduce the risk. Suction Gun - Use 1.5 to 2mm (59-79 thou) orifice with 350-400kpa (50-55 psi) Pressure Pot - Use 1.5 to 2mm (59-79 thou) orifice with pressure pot air-cap. Failure to allow time for reaction to take place may result in a hazy film. Pot Life : 1-2 days at 25°C Pot life varies significantly with ambient temperature, humdity and the quantity mixed. Pot life is longer at lower temperatures and shorter at higher temperatures. Thinning : Thin 10-15% with MIROSOL 1220 (Fast), 1294 (Medium), 1242 (Slow) In hot or draughty conditions up to 10% MIROSOL 1218 Ultra Slow Thinner may be added. Do not exceed 10% addition as it will retard the drying and could lead to problems with sanding, printing and blocking. Stain Colour Charts

When choosing a colour for your project it is important to consider the type of timber finish you require for your chosen project. The choice of timber stain is crucial as the surface will need to withstand general wear and tear and environmental factors. It is also important to consider the type of timber used for the project. Final colour appearance may vary with different timber species, texture, size and shape of the area. Stain colours available in 4L, 20L and 205L. General purpose paint stripper suitable for stripping most types of paint from timber and metal surfaces.
Features:
  • Ready for use
  • Apply by brush
Specifications: Clean Up : Clean all equipment using MIROSOL 1228 or 1231. Metal surfaces may be hosed down with a high pressure water jet wash. Application: Apply a thick film by brush. Allow to stand for 3 to 5 minutes (most paints will bubbles and wrinkle). Remove with a wide metal scraper. MIROSTRIP may be left longer (10-30 minutes) for more difficult to remove paints. Sanding the surface prior to application of MIROSTRIP 1019 with 180 grit sandpaper can help the stripper to penetrate the coating. Ensure that all MIROSTRIP 1019 is thoroughly removed before coatings (sand with 180-240 grit sandpaper to remove residue). Where To Use: Removes most type of paint; nitrocellulose, precatalysed lacquers, alkyd paints, acid catalysed and polyurethane coatings.
